HoldFast NL is a Newfoundland and Labrador–based seaweed company focused on cultivating subarctic kelp and producing liquid seaweed extract for agricultural and research use.

We operate a kelp farm in coastal Newfoundland waters and process our biomass locally, with a focus on quality, traceability, and responsible marine practices. Our work connects ocean farming with land-based applications, supporting research trials, agricultural inputs, and emerging bioproduct markets.

Our extraction and processing methods are designed to preserve naturally occurring compounds found in kelp, producing a consistent liquid extract intended for use in research, trials, and agricultural systems. We work closely with local partners and research institutions to test, refine, and scale our approach.
